Dinitrogen Tetroxide N2O4 Gas 99.5% For Oxalic Acid Application
Dinitrogen tetroxide , can spontaneously ignite with many fuels and is an excellent oxidant. But its liquid temperature range is very narrow, and it is easy to solidify and evaporate. At normal temperature, nitrous oxide is constantly vaporizing. The reduced pressure of nitrous oxide suspended in the air immediately decomposes into nitrogen dioxide gas. The nitrogen dioxide gas is brownish red and has neurotoxicity.
Used as raw materials for the manufacture of nitric acid, anhydrous metal salts and nitro coordination complexes. In organic chemistry, it is used as oxidant, nitrating agent and inhibitor of acrylate polymerization. In the military industry, it is used to make explosives.
The gas NO2 is obtained from the process of producing concentrated nitric acid by the direct synthesis method, and liquid N2O4 is obtained after condensation and distillation. It is one of the most commonly used oxidants that can be stored. It is often combined with hydrazine fuel to form a two-component liquid propellant. It is used in launch vehicles such as communication satellites and strategic missiles.
